Clinical Ethics Session – Day One of ICON 2022

The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) is organizing the sixth biennial scientific conference – ICON 2022. The conference is being held at the Korangi Campus from January 20-23, 2022. More than 100 pre-conference workshops and about 50 scientific sessions and three plenary sessions are also being held at various locations of IHHN.

Death is an inevitable part of life and in order to understand the concept of prolonging it a scientific session was held at the Korangi Campus on January 20, 2022. Some well-known international and national healthcare professionals participated in the session.

Dr. John D. Lantos; Dr. Hana Arbab; Dr. Sarosh Saleem; Dr. Muhammad Atif Waqar; Professor Dr. Farhat Moazam; Dr. Ayesha Malik; and Professor Dr. Jamshed Akhtar spoke at the session. Dr. Hana Arbab was the moderator.

Dr. John D. Lantos discussed the aspects of communication, policies & religio-cultural factors in pediatrics; Dr. Jamshed Akhtar and Dr. Sarosh Saleem were part of the panel. Dr. Atif Waqar talked about the aspects of communication, policies & religio-cultural factors in adults and Dr. Farhat Moazam, Founding Chairperson of the Centre of Biomedical Ethics and Culture and Dr. Ayesha Malik, Expert Member- Health Research Authority Research Ethics Committee were the panelists.
