ICON 2026 Kicked Off with a Successful Pre-Conference Webinar

On October 2nd, 2025, the pre-conference scientific session titled “Foundations of Sleep Medicine: From Insomnia to Respiratory and Movement Disorders” officially inaugurated ICON 2026.
The session brought together an outstanding panel of international and national faculty — Dr. Deirdre Conroy, Dr. Saad Bin Jamil, Dr. Nawaz Rupani, and Dr. Afifa Shamim-Uzzaman — alongside an engaged audience of physicians and trainees from across Pakistan and abroad.
Moderated by Dr. Sajeer Bhura, the webinar served as Pakistan’s first structured academic introduction to Sleep Medicine — emphasizing its multidisciplinary importance across Pulmonology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Critical Care, Cardiology, and Primary Care.
The discussion not only generated valuable clinical insights but also symbolized an important step toward recognizing Sleep Medicine as a specialty area within our national healthcare landscape.
Gratitude to all participants, speakers, and the ICON 2026 organizing committee for making this milestone event possible.
Here’s to a conference that continues to advance innovation, collaboration, and specialty development across disciplines.
