The Basic Surgical Skills workshop delivered focused, hands-on training in essential operative techniques for early-career clinicians. Over four hours, participants practiced instrument handling, suturing, and knot-tying through supervised skill stations designed to build precision and confidence in basic surgical procedures.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Danish Aslam, Dr. Akhtar Bhurgri, Dr. Benish Aslam, and Dr. Sana Nawaz, who guided the participants through various practical modules and shared expert insights. A total of 13 participants attended the workshop, actively engaging in each training segment and demonstrating strong enthusiasm for skill enhancement.
As part of the Pre ICON 2026 activities, this workshop aimed to enhance foundational surgical skills among healthcare professionals, aligning with Indus Hospital & Health Network’s ongoing commitment to continuous medical education and capacity building.
At the close of the workshop, participants provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, noting the session’s practical value and requesting more frequent, similar training opportunities in the future.
