Continuing its commitment to advancing clinical excellence ahead of ICON 2026, Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) proudly hosted its third Pre-ICON 2026 workshop titled “Understanding, Performing, and Interpreting Spirometry: A Multidisciplinary Approach.” The session took place at Indus Hospital, Jubilee Town, Lahore, bringing together healthcare professionals eager to enhance their expertise in respiratory diagnostics.
The workshop was led by esteemed facilitators — Dr. Maheen Khoso (Consultant Pulmonary & Critical Care), Dr. Abdur Rafay (Consultant Infectious Diseases), and Mr. Gohar Shehbaz Chaudhary (Senior Medical Science Liaison, Chiesi Pharmaceuticals) — whose multidisciplinary insights added depth and clinical perspective to the learning experience.
Accredited by Dow University of Health Sciences, the workshop provided participants with an interactive, hands-on learning experience focused on the principles and practice of spirometry — a vital tool in evaluating and managing respiratory health. The session covered key aspects including patient preparation, interpretation of diagnostic patterns, and the implementation of infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols during spirometry testing.
Through this impactful initiative, IHHN reaffirmed its dedication to continuous professional development and evidence-based care. The Pre-ICON 2026 educational series continues to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills essential for delivering resilient, sustainable care — embodying the spirit of the upcoming ICON 2026 Conference: “Resilient Care, Sustainable Future.”
