The Indus Hospital, Jubilee Town, Lahore, organized a high-impact workshop titled “Saving Seconds, Saving Lives: Essentials of Resuscitation for Emergency Medicine in Pakistan” on December 1, 2025. This full-day training equipped healthcare professionals with essential skills to rapidly assess and stabilize critically ill patients in emergency settings.
The session was led by experienced facilitators from IHHN, including Dr. Misbah-uz-Zahra, Dr. Sharjeel Zafar, Dr. Fakhir, Dr. Mubashar Tahir, and Dr. Ammrah Nisar, who guided participants through hands-on simulations and case-based learning.
Participants were trained in the systematic ABCDE approach—Airway, Breathing, Circulation, Disability, and Exposure—to identify life-threatening conditions and deliver timely, effective interventions using commonly available resources. The workshop emphasized early recognition of critical signs, prompt stabilization, structured communication, and appropriate referral pathways, ensuring clinicians can act decisively when every second matters.
As part of the PRE-ICON 2026 series, the workshop reinforces IHHN’s commitment to strengthening emergency care across Pakistan and empowering frontline teams to save lives with confidence and competence.
