The session, held at Civil Hospital Badin and led by Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro, aimed to enhance emergency care skills among healthcare professionals in the region.

Key topics included the ABCDE approach for rapid patient assessment, primary and secondary surveys, management of acute airway and breathing emergencies, and strategies to handle choking in both adults and pediatric patients.

Participants also received practical training in airway management, including passing endotracheal tubes (ETT) and using oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal airways. Hands-on exercises covered life-saving interventions such as needle cricothyroidotomy, three-way dressing for sucking chest wounds, cervical collar application, POP casts, pelvic binders, and the log roll technique.

The workshop equipped participants with a systematic approach to managing critically ill patients while enhancing competencies in patient safety, team communication, and leadership.
