Innovative Beyond Boundaries: Critical Thinking and Crisis Management Workshop

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) recently hosted an impactful workshop titled “Innovative Beyond Boundaries – Critical Thinking and Crisis Management” at the Blood Center, Karachi. The session brought together healthcare professionals to enhance their skills in decision-making, problem-solving, and effective communication during crises.

The workshop aimed to equip participants with tools to apply critical thinking frameworks, mitigate cognitive biases, and develop creative solutions for urgent challenges. Attendees also learned to communicate efficiently with teams and stakeholders in high-pressure situations, strengthening their ability to respond confidently during emergencies.

Facilitated by a team of experienced experts from IHHN, including Dr. Saima Ali (HOD, Emergency Medicine – Adult), Ms. Fouzia (Clinical Nursing Instructor, Peads G Ward), Ms. Shamsa Kanwal (Head Nurse, Peads ICU), Mr. Johnson Ilyas (Sr. Head Nurse, Surgical Ward & HDU), Mr. Ajmal Khan (Clinical Nursing Instructor, Peads G Ward), and Ms. Shumaila (Clinical Nursing Instructor, Peads G Ward), the workshop offered hands-on guidance and practical strategies.

By the end of the session, participants were able to make informed decisions under uncertainty, minimize cognitive biases, develop innovative solutions, and enhance team communication during crisis scenarios. The workshop reinforced IHHN’s commitment to fostering professional growth and advancing patient-centered care through continuous learning initiatives.
