Karachi, Pakistan – February 14 2026: A comprehensive workshop titled “Osteoporosis Uncovered: A Collaborative Approach to Bone Health” was held at the Transfusion Hall, Blood Center, Indus University Hospital. The session brought together multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to address osteoporosis through an integrated and collaborative lens, emphasizing prevention, early diagnosis, and holistic management.
The workshop focused on understanding the pathophysiology and risk factors associated with osteoporosis, highlighting the importance of timely screening and risk assessment. Participants explored the roles of various healthcare professionals—including physicians, rehabilitation specialists, pharmacists, nurses, dietitians, and psychosocial experts—in preventing fractures and improving long-term bone health outcomes.
Discussions emphasized collaborative clinical practice and community-level strategies to enhance awareness and promote early intervention. By fostering interdepartmental coordination and patient-centered care pathways, the session aimed to strengthen preventive strategies and improve quality of life for individuals at risk of osteoporosis.
