27 Research Papers Published: ICON 2026 Special Supplement of PJMS Launched at IHHN

Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) proudly launched the ICON 2026 Special Supplement of the Pakistan Journal of Medical Sciences (PJMS), featuring 27 original research papers published by IHHN faculty and residents. The launch also saw the presence of PJMS leadership, underscoring the importance of academic collaboration and excellence.

The publication and review process was meticulously managed by the ORIC team under Dr. Ammad Fahim, Director ORIC, and Ms. Sayyeda Reza , Manager ORIC, alongside the scientific editorial team and the PJMS editorial board, ensuring that only high-quality research was selected. Hundreds of submissions underwent careful review, with no compromise on standards.

Highlighting the significance of this milestone, Dr. Asher Alam , Medical Director, Indus University Hospital, said:
“This supplement marks the 5th PJMS publication from IHHN. Our journey began in 2012 with just 4 research papers, and by 2018, significant progress was achieved with 29 papers submitted and 27 published. Today, the supplement officially presents the original research contributions of our faculty, aiming not only to publish papers but to inspire learning and academic excellence.”

Special recognition was given to Dr. Syed Ahmer Hamid, Chair ICON 2026, Dr. Asher Alam, and Shaukat Ali Jawaid, Chief Editor, PJMS, for their pivotal roles in the success of this publication. Submissions for the supplement came from across regions, including Karachi (54), Muzaffargarh (17), Lahore (5), and Multan (4), demonstrating broad engagement and the growing impact of IHHN’s research initiatives.
