As part of the lead-up to ICON 2026, The Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) successfully hosted the AO Principles Seminar – Non-Operative Fracture Management Workshop for Residents on 12 July 2026 at Khursheed Hall, Avari Towers, Karachi.

The workshop brought together 15 faculty members, including four experts from different cities, and 55 postgraduate residents representing various training institutes across Pakistan. Designed to strengthen practical skills in non-operative fracture management, the seminar featured 20 hands-on workstations, including ten mannequin-based and ten non-mannequin stations, enabling participants to gain valuable experiential learning.

The dedicated plaster technicians from The Indus Hospital played a vital role in the smooth execution of the workshop, providing essential technical support throughout the practical sessions.

The workshop received an overwhelmingly positive response from participants, reflecting its growing reputation as a high-quality educational initiative. Conceived and launched in 2018 by Prof. Syed Kamran Ahmed, this marked the sixth edition of the workshop in Karachi. The program has since expanded to Islamabad and Lahore, with plans underway to hold the next edition in Peshawar.
