Asad Umar
Mr. Asad Umar currently serves as Pakistan's Federal Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives. Previously he has served as Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue & Economic Affairs, Member National Assembly of Pakistan, Chairman, National Assembly's Standing Committee on Industries and Production and Chairman, National Assembly's Standing Committee on Finance, etc. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Asad Umar was appointed as the chair of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) to manage the COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan. Mr. Asad Umar graduated with an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi and has attended executive education programs at Oxford, Harvard, Berkeley, and other prominent institutions. Although he is a renowned political figure, he is equally respected because of his role and contribution to Pakistan's corporate sector. Mr. Asad Umar has received numerous awards celebrating his illustrious career, including the Marketing Association of Pakistan Award of Excellence in 2009 and the Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2010 for his public service.
