Biography: | Professor Farrukh Iqbal, a distinguished medical professional, graduated as the Best Graduate and Most Distinguished Student from King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan, in 1980. He achieved MRCP in 1986 and was later honored with FRCP from London and FRCP from Edinburgh in 1999 and 2000, respectively, recognizing his significant contributions to the medical field. With 30 years of teaching and clinical experience in internal medicine, including roles as Chairman, Dean, and Head Division of Medicine at Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex, and as Principal at Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Medical and Dental College Lahore, he currently serves as Professor and HOD Medicine at University College of Medicine and University of Lahore Teaching Hospitals. Professor Iqbal has delivered 26 state-of-the-art lectures, participated in numerous international and national seminars, and played a pivotal role in diabetes education, earning a place on the South East Asia Diabetes Advisory Board from Pakistan. With 58 publications and authorship of 14 books, he has organized over 30 courses for FCPS II Medicine and MRCP, mentoring over 40 candidates who are now serving in prominent positions in Pakistan and abroad. |
