On behalf of the Indus Hospital & Health Network, I would like to welcome all healthcare professionals and medical academics to the sixth biennial ICON 2022. It is the first time the conference will be held virtually, with selected workshops being conducted on-premises in IHHN facilities around Pakistan. It will be held from January 20th to the 23rd, 2022. I urge you all to register yourself to be part of Pakistan’s biggest multidisciplinary medical conference.

The Indus Hospital & Health Network offers quality healthcare, free of cost to all our patients. In addition, we offer international standards of training, teaching, and research opportunities for the medical community of Pakistan

ICON is the result of our drive to advance academic and medical research, which we have been organizing since 2012. It was designed for academics, researchers, and healthcare professionals to showcase their works and connect with members of the healthcare community.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Beyond the Call of Duty”. This is a reflection of the struggles the global community has faced over the past two years, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The global health community, media personnel, and others came together to establish the frontline to combat COVID-19. Many of the teams went beyond the call of duty to serve in their communities in collaboration with the government and other organizations. This theme, while inspired by the efforts made during this pandemic, is not limited to the response teams work in containing the virus. It is also a celebration of the IHHN’s success in developing solutions to cater to neglected areas. We have been able to successfully implement solutions to effectively impact the lives of thousands of people across Pakistan.

ICON 2022 will serve as a forum for national and international audiences to stay abreast with the latest research, findings, and innovative solutions to challenging issues in healthcare service delivery.
