Plenary 2: COVID-19 - Impact, Vaccine Distribution, and Lessons Learnt
The world has experienced several pandemics in history, some of which have become obsolete. Topics covered in the session include the speakers’ views on COVID-19 vaccine distribution globally and how it has been managed by COVAX as well as the Global COVID-19 vaccine distribution strategy.
In addition, it aims to address the inequitable distribution of vaccines and their impact as well as COVAX and its management of vaccine distribution. It will provide an insight on the way forward and furthermore will offer views on COVID-19 in LMIC’s such as South Africa and vaccine delivery in this region.
