Dr. Faisal Sultan
Currently serving as the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Regulations and Coordination, Dr. Faisal Sultan – an infectious diseases physician - has his beginnings in King Edward Medical College Pakistan, where he obtained his MBBS, after which he received training from various institutions including the University of Connecticut, Washington University School of Medicine, Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh and the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Pakistan. Dr. Faisal Sultan has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Medical Teaching Institute, Khyber Teaching Hospital Peshawar, and Member of the steering committee for Punjab Health Strategic Plan. At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Faisal Sultan was appointed as the Prime Minister’s Focal Person on COVID-19 in Pakistan.
