Dr. Haroon Hafeez serves as a Consultant in Internal Medicine and Palliative Care, holding the additional role of Director of the Quality and Patient Safety Department at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, an institution accredited by JCI. Concurrently, he holds the position of Associate Global Director for the South Asia Region at the Royal College of Physicians London. A graduate of Baqai Medical University, Karachi, Dr. Hafeez pursued his postgraduate training in the United Kingdom, obtaining MRCP and a Palliative Medicine Diploma from Cardiff in 2010. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London and Edinburgh. Dr. Hafeez has been instrumental in advancing Palliative Care Services in Pakistan through collaborations with physicians from Agha Khan and Shifa International Hospitals. Notably, he played a pivotal role in gaining recognition for the Palliative Care Fellowship from the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan. Currently, he is the sole supervisor in the country for palliative medicine in FCPS Palliative Care Medicine. |
