Dr. Naseem Salahuddin
Dr. Naseem Salahuddin has been an activist for rabies in Pakistan and a member of the WHO Experts Advisory Panel on Rabies since 2004, Neglected Tropical Diseases since 2018, and SAGE Rabies/WHO since 2016-2017. She has been a pioneer in establishing a state-of-the-art Rabies Prevention Center at IHHN and 12 PEP centers in Sindh. Furthermore, she is the clinical lead at the TB Clinics and a member of the Technical Working Group for MDR TB under the Ministry of Health Government of Pakistan and NTP STAG, Islamabad. Her active research projects include Site PI End TB (Evaluating Newly approved Drugs for multidrug-resistant TB) Funding Sponsor: UNITAID, Site PI Covid-19 Vaccine Trial, PD for IHHN One Health for Rabies and Antimicrobial Resistance. She has over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals with around 13 TB-related publications to her name.
