Dr. Raisa Gul
Dr. Raisa Gul has held various clinical, and administrative positions at Aga Khan University Hospital, Shifa International Hospital and the Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery in a career is spanned over 4 decades in Nursing. Dr. Gul completed her basic, followed by a. She obtained her doctoral degree from the University of Alberta Canada and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at the same university in 2013. Her research interest includes self- care behaviors and quality of life in patients with chronic conditions, critical thinking and faculty development. She has supervised more than 40 graduate students at Master’s and PhD level. Dr. Raisa has 50+ publications in national and international Journals. She is a member of the Prime Minister National Task Force on Health, and a member of Islamabad Health care Regulatory Authority Board. She has been granted several awards in recognition of her scholarship, such as dissertation fellowship from the University of Alberta, outstanding faculty award from Aga Khan University, a gold medal from the KP nurses’ association, and the state award “Pride of Performance”. She will be presenting her work on Day 1 of ICON 2022 at the Nursing Session. She will be covering the topic “Challenges and Creativity: Teaching online in a practical discipline in Pakistan”
