Dr. Shahan Waheed MBBS, FCPS, PhD Scholar, Assistant Professor Program Director and Section Head of Adult Emergency Medicine, AKUH, Karachi. Dr. Waheed is a proud PGME alumnus of Aga Khan University. Presently a leader in the field of emergency medicine, he is the first individual to earn a CPSP emergency medicine fellowship. His groundbreaking pedagogical approaches are highly regarded across numerous international platforms. Having been honored with a multitude of teaching and research accolades. At present, he holds the esteemed position of Program Director of Emergency Medicine, Adult EM Section Head and Assistant Professor at Aga Khan University. He is the recipient of both extramural and intramural grants and has authored over forty peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and clinical manuals as a clinical researcher. He is a doctoral candidate and a Fogarty Trauma, Violence, and Injury Prevention Fellow. His areas of interest are resuscitation, emergency airway management, medical education, trauma,
