Dr. Sohail Akhtar, FRCP, FCPS (Hon), is a distinguished Professor and Consultant Pulmonologist currently serving as the recent Head of the Department (HOD) of Pulmonology at Indus Hospital in Karachi. With a wealth of experience, he holds the position of CPSP supervisor and examiner in Pulmonology and is also a visiting Consultant Pulmonologist at SIUT. Dr. Akhtar has previously made significant contributions to medical education and research as a consultant and faculty member at Ziauddin University and Baqai University. He further adds to his acclaim as the former Chief Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Chest Medicine and the Former President of the Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA). His multifaceted roles underscore his commitment to advancing the field of pulmonology and promoting medical education and research in Pakistan. |
