Dr. Kamran Siddiqi
Dr. Kamran Siddiqi is a Professor in Global Public Health at the University of York and honorary consultant in public health medicine at Public Health England. He is a clinical academic with experience in pulmonology, public health, and epidemiology. He has research expertise in the UK, Latin America, and South Asia and has published extensively on TB diagnosis, tobacco control, and smoking cessation. Furthermore, he is the principal and lead researcher on the smokeless tobacco project ASTRA, a world-class, interdisciplinary group aiming to reduce the substantial burden of disease caused by smokeless tobacco.
