Professor Waqar Ahmed
Dr. Waqar graduated from Bolan Medical College Quetta in1990 and completed his nephrology diploma from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) in 1998. He has had several important research papers published in national and international journals. He has been the head of the nephrology department at Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore since 20th May 2014. He served as the Pakistan Society of Nephrology secretary and president from 1997 to 2000. He is currently doing extensive work developing a renal registry in Pakistan: “Pakistan renal data system” (PKRDS). He will be speaking on Day 2 of ICON 2022, “Challenges in developing renal registry in a developing country problems solution and the way forward.”
