Biography: | Dr. Syeda Kauser Ali holds the position of Chair and Professor of Medical Education at the Institute of Medical Education, Jinnah Sindh Medical University. Additionally, she serves as Visiting Faculty at the Department of Educational Development, AKU, and the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplant. Dr. Kauser is recognized as one of the pioneering qualified medical educationists in the country and has played a crucial role in advancing the discipline of medical education as a professional qualification. Dr. Kauser graduated from Dow Medical College and completed her MHPE from the the University of Illinois at Chicago, USA. She further earned her PhD in Medical Education from the the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. With over 30 years of experience in medical education, Dr. Kauser has mentored numerous aspiring medical educationists. Her areas of expertise include faculty development, curriculum development, and educational measurement. Known as a revered teacher and mentor, she has an impressive portfolio of publications, workshops, presentations, and invited talks. Dr. Kauser is the recipient of the WHO fellowship, as well as the Outstanding Teacher Award and Faculty Development Award from AKU. |
